News from the community
Kennet Equipment Leasing take our role in the community very seriously, after all - all work and no play...! We will continue to do 'our bit' and raise funds for a wide range of very worthy causes, and we'll tell you all about them on this page.
Women v Cancer - November 2012
Congratulations to Kennet’s Financial Director Maria Swift , who this month cycled over
350K in India and has raised over £3,000 for the “Women v Cancer” charity.
Men v Moustache!
On the subject of “Handlebars”, well done to those chaps who
“grew a tash to raise some cash” this Movember!
Ray's efforts are going to the dogs!
Underwriter and bike lover Ray Joiner has decided to cycle the London-Edinburgh-London Audax bike race in July.
The 875-mile route has to be ridden unsupported and within a time limit of 4 days and 20 hours.
He will be cycling to raise funds for Doris Banham Dog Rescue (www.dogsos.co.uk).
More info on the route can be found on www.londonedinburghlondon.com – and with any luck we’ll be
able to track
him en route when the time comes this summer. Ray and his cycling partner Kim Hinchcliffe are “Team Doris”.
donations for ray can be made at:
Christmas for Acorns Children's Hospice
Kennet’s Christmas email campaign raised £500 for the nominated charity last year, which again
was Acorn’s Children’s Hospice.
Financial Director Maria Swift popped along to hand over the cheque at the Acorn’s
branch in Selly Oak. Pictured is Maria with Ellie Griffiths, Corporate and Partnerships
Manager at Acorns Children’s Hospice.
Red Nose Day
2013's Red Nose Day was celebrated by the staff at Kennet by
spending the day in onsies and nightwear!
We collected £89 and got an interesting insight into what people
wear to sleep!
It's all about the speed!
Askksa Limited have added the Kennet logo to the
graphics on their hotrod car.
We think it looks pretty fantastic!
Good luck to the team on their upcoming races.
Kirsty's Marathon Effort!
Kirsty Garner in our admin department ran the London Marathon on
Sunday 21st April in an impressive 5 hours 24 minutes.
She "went viral" with our tweet from Harry Moseley's mum, to nearly 85,000 followers,
which was the charity she was running for. (#HHHO).
